Hi, just looking at the cvb80. Are there any options on this, or is it all standard, it's for a learner girl? For shipment to Germany - do I pay tax to customs, or is this added to the purchase price already?

Hi, it can be with options, please let me know what kind of bow you are expecting, on how the bow looks or how it bows.

VAT are not included, but I am not sure if it will be charged by custom or you will need to pay by yourself voluntarily. The package is the bow in strong PVC tube.

Hi, packaging sounds great. I presume the VAT will be charged by the German customs, not sure exactly how they would do it. One question on the ebony - does this have a CITES certificate for export / ebony origin? I think customs may ask for this.

For options - I wasn't sure what particular options would be available. I think the shaft is what we would want, frog as well. What would be the upcharge for 1st grade horse hair, and would this make a big difference?

Thanks for your message. Based on our experience so far:

1. Customs & Duties:
We ship via DHL express, which is often processed as personal goods. From what we've seen, sometimes German customs charges import VAT/duties, and sometimes they don't — it really depends on how the package is handled upon arrival. So there's a chance it might pass through without charges.

2. CITES Certificate:
So far, we've never been asked by customs to provide a CITES certificate for individual bows. Some customers have asked about it, but customs themselves have never requested it. I believe this is more relevant for large commercial shipments — for personal items, it's rarely checked, at least based on our current experience.

3. Options for the Bow:
Since I understand this bow is being made for a young lady, I was wondering if she might like some colorful touches — for example, a colored winding, or a frog made from resin or buffalo horn.
